Join us for a fun and entertaining cookery evening online on Thursday January 21 from 6pm. Not only will you make a wonderful meal but also get some top culinary skills from our Chef, Alice Power.
After leaving a previous career in the Civil Service, Alice followed her lifelong passion for cooking and retrained at Leiths School of Food and Wine in London. Outside of the fast-paced restaurant kitchen, Alice has honed her teaching skills to share the fundamentals of cooking through workshops to help others elevate their own home cooking.
Our dishes this evening are
Pheasant cavatelli with squash, hazelnuts and kale
Hand-shaped cavatelli ‘little hollows’ pasta in a silky parmesan sauce with braised pheasant, roasted squash, kale and toasted hazelnuts
You could pair this with a subtle, mineraly white wine, light red wine, ruby ale or medium-dry perry or cider
Spiced orange and lemon posset
A rich set cream flavoured with citrus and topped with spiced, macerated oranges and biscuit crumb
You could pair this with a fortified wine or dessert wine
