CLA Midlands Staffordshire AGM & Visit to Ingestre Orangery

Ingestre Orangery is a Grade II listed building in the Staffordshire village of Ingestre. The Orangery sits in the grounds of Ingestre Hall and is owned by Sandwell Council, the building and gardens had been unused for many years and became overgrown and hidden. The Friends of Ingestre Orangery have a 30 year lease from Sandwell Council and with their support, established our Charity, Friends of Ingestre Orangery, to restore the Orangery and its grounds to a sustainable use as a Heritage Hub and a Community Centre funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

This project is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Significant help from our volunteers has enabled us to bring the garden back to life, providing a perfect backdrop to the Orangery whose heritage can be shared, used and enjoyed by everyone.
