Bringing land to market for development - St Clears

Developing land for housing is a complex business and there are many stages in what can be a long process. CLA Cymru is hosting a seminar for landowners that will take you through the key planning elements and provide an expert overview of the essential considerations
As owners of land on the edge of towns and villages, CLA members play a key role in providing more housing. However, landowners know only too well that getting land developed is a complex business with significant risks. There are many stages in what is a long term process with professional input needed on property, planning, design, legal, financial and other aspects.

Registration will be from 10 when tea, coffee and welsh cake will be served. The event will finish at 12.30 when a bacon roll, tea and coffee will be served. 

This event will address these key considerations with the speakers being;
Louise Speke, CLA Chief Taxation Adviser, looking at the tax implications.
Dylan Wiliams, Partner Rees Richards, Land Agents, Swansea will be looking at key considerations in deciding if land is suitable for development.
Hermione Warmington, CLA Property & Business Policy Adviser, will look at alternative affordable housing options.
Daniel Lloyd, Pobl  Housing will be speaking about the provision of affordable housing from a housing association perspective.

- site disposal
- building licence agreements
- capital gains tax
- structuring the sale of the land and protecting your tax position
- affordable housing, including housing association, community land trust and Almshouse charity
