The definition of natural capital extends to all those elements of nature that provide value (directly and indirectly) to people. It consists of different assets such as woods, soils, rivers, land, minerals and oceans.
This event will include an optional tour of a natural flood management scheme in Finchingfield which has seen the reintroduction of beavers into a fenced woodland area. The beavers are being given the opportunity to alter their environment by building dams, flooding areas, cleaning water and trapping silt.
When booking you will be offered the opportunity to book onto one of two tour times.
9.30 am departure or 1.45 pm departure from Spains Hall Estate.
Please note that the tour registration point is approximately a 10 minute drive from the seminar venue. You will be expected to make your own way to and from the seminar venue to the tour meeting point on Spains Hall Estate- full details will be given prior to the event. Due to the nature of the tour, delegates are required to wear suitable foot ware for wet and slippery walk ways.
