Farming and agriculture will play a big role in reaching the government’s target for
Britain to be net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The industry will have to evolve and
adapt to new technologies, production methods, land uses, and consumer demands.
With diets and lifestyles changing, and increasing scrutiny over animal welfare, waste,
chemicals and energy use, what does the future hold for farming? What can the
Government and public do to support farmers? Can the industry successfully present
itself as part of the solution, rather than the problem?
Speakers, including the CLA, the Vegan Society, the Small Robot Company, a CLA
member, and representatives from Carter Jonas and Lloyds Bank, will examine the
