CHARLTON PARK ESTATE
Charlton Park has been in the possession of the Earls of Suffolk since the last years of the 16th Century.
The Estate covers 1,820 hectares (4500 acres) and includes the Grade 1 listed Mansion, extensive and picturesque parkland, arable farmland, Cotswold stone period residential properties and a commercial business park.
The beautiful parkland provides a fantastic setting for various events whilst retaining the privacy of the family home and grounds. We have been the home of the WOMAD music festival since 2007.
Charlton Park has in excess of sixty residential opportunities. Properties include farmhouses set in unspoilt countryside, a selection of terraced and detached character houses and cottages including traditional Gatehouses. The Estate also has commercial properties from high end offices to small storage units, a nursery school and a successful equine business.
Over the last 12 months the estate has undertaken the conversion of an agricultural building into a car storage facility and the conversion of an old dairy building into new offices.
The Estate farms 1050 hectares of arable in hand and a further 160 hectares under a contract farming agreement. The farm has substantial grain storage and grassland is let out under various annual licences. The ethos is to maximise the profits whist farming with a sustainable approach and improving the environment and soil health. There are also three tenanted farms and a small area of woodland.
