We are extremely fortunate to be able to hold the 2019 Somerset AGM at Sheppy’s Cider by kind permission of the Sheppy family.  The AGM is generously supported by our partners Savills and MHA Monahans.

The CLA members will be welcomed to Sheppy’s Cider and will be guided around the site by David Sheppy, sixth generation Master of Cider.

The Sheppy family arrived at Three Bridges Farm, Bradford-on-Tone, Taunton in 1917, where they continue to farm and produce their renowned ciders.  200 years on from the very first cider the Sheppy family produced, David continues to champion the same methods used generations ago, blending our rare traditional crafting skills with the very best of modern technology to create an acclaimed range of the finest ciders.

Cider is what they do, and David and his wife Louisa have invested hugely in developing their site and cider production facilities.  Sheppy’s ciders are available at the farm, locally, nationally and internationally in independent and multiple retail and on-trades outlets.

The Sheppy’s have also invested heavily in the re-development of their traditional farm and cider-making buildings to create a fabulous visitor experience for locals and travelling visitors.  The shop includes a butchery selling the farm’s own English Longhorn beef as well as lamb, and locally sourced meats, a cheese and deli counter and a bakery.  The whole venue has a contemporary industrial feel which reflects the history of the buildings’ use for farming and cider-making over the last century, creating a thoroughly atmospheric setting in which visitors enjoy high quality home-made meals throughout the day and end-of week evenings.

We will take a guided walking tour including one of their 90 acres of orchards, the press house, a vat house and the rural life museum where a film will explain Sheppy’s cider-making year.  David will finish our tour with a guided cider tasting of a range of Sheppy’s renowned Somerset ciders.

Sheppy’s Cider are located on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, just off Junction 26, M5, from where you can follow the brown signs. Enter through the main entrance. CLA signs will be in place to direct you to the large car park. The venue is within short walking distance of the car park.
