Rural Business Conference 2019

Join us for the CLA’s annual Rural Business Conference which will be held in London on Thursday 28 November.

Landowners are always looking for different ways to grow their businesses. New markets will develop not only as a result of Brexit but because of changing consumer preferences and the public’s shifting expectations of the countryside.

The 2019 CLA Rural Business Conference will give you the opportunity to learn how to exploit these future markets. Join us to hear from landowners who have successfully identified and exploited markets both local and international.

Speakers include:

Dai Miles, Chief Executive, Calon Wen Dairy
Dai will tell you how the cooperative has secured a new contract to sell its products into the gulf state of Qatar.

Jeff Grant,  New Zealand Embassy
New Zealand has sought to expand its own markets to new countries such as China. Jeff will set out for us how this has happened and what lessons the UK can learn from this process.

Professor Andrew Fearne
A renowned expert in consumer trends, Professor Fearne will set out what we can expect consumers to prioritise in the coming years and what rural businesses will need to do to be prepared.

Joe and Julia Evans, Whitbourne Estate and Longlands Care Farm
Julia and Joe are a mother and son team who run Longlands Care Farm and Whitbourne Estate. They will share how they have integrated a care farm into their business and their plans for expansion.
