At this event Louise Speke, CLA Chief Tax Advisor, will be joined by Alison Stace, Managing Director and Mark Evans, Director of Allington Hughes, Wreexham, Llanrwst and Chester. They will be looking at ways that you can mitigate tax as much as possible and make the transfer of the business to your successors as smooth as possible.
Louise, CLA Chief Tax Advsier, has overall responsibility for tax law and policy. Originally qualified as a solicitor, she advises on a wide range of national tax issues and promotes members interests on HMRC liaison groups for capital taxes and VAT on property.
Alison became Managing Director of Allington Hughes in 2016 having previously been head of the Dispute Resolution Team. Amongst her many responsibilities now she is an Accredited Mediator. Alison will speak about the role of the mediator in situations of family conflict and how mediation can be used in these difficult circumstances.
Mark is Head of the Agriculture Team and is a renowned speaker on succession planning. As well as dealing with property and land transactions Mark also provides general business advice and guidance.He has strong links with the farming community and is a regular at markets and shows in north Wales. Mark will be looking at the use of wills and trusts in the succession planning process.
